Deven Parekh graduated from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a BS in Economics, and is currently employed as managing director at Insight Venture Partners. Founded in 1995 by Jeff Horing and Jerry Murdock, Insight Venture Partners is a New York-based private equity and venture capital firm. They currently have a capital base of approximately $3 billion, and focus exclusively on software and Internet-enabled businesses.

Deven Parekh was involved in both M & A advisory and principal activities with The Blackstone Group. He also served on the M & A Committee for Berenson Minella & Company, a New York based merchant banking firm.

The legendary career of Chicago industrialist Henry Crown (1896-1990) is honored by The Aspen Institute where Deven Parekh is a Henry Crown Fellow. The mission of the institute is to foster values-based leadership, encouraging individuals to reflect on the ideals and ideas that define a good society, and to provide a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues. Deven Parekh also sits on the board of Publicolor, a non-profit organization that uses color and painting to engage and motivate disaffected teenaged students.
